International Forgiveness Day

Assunto: International Forgiveness Day

Dear GA members,

I hope you will forgive us for not getting this sent out a couple of days ago, but this past Wednesday, August 5th, was International Forgiveness Day. But it's never too late and a special day isn't necessary to forgive.

If not for those that you are angry at for whatever reason, whether justifiable or not, than just do it for yourself. Those negative feelings that are hurting you or eating away at you, they are basically just wasting your time and energy so unburden yourself by forgiving somebody and feel the weight get lifted from your shoulders.

Even minor transgressions against you can add up, so do yourself a favor and just let it all go! You will feel so much better. And if it's hard, just start small and work your way up to more major problems.

And if you won't take my word on this, then listen to your GOD!!! For all you religious folk, I don't know of a single religion that doesn't suggest forgiveness as the better path to take, so make your life happier and healthier – go forgive somebody!

“Live well. It is the greatest revenge.” - The Talmud

“Your heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, He will not forgive you.” - The Bible

“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” - The Buddha

“The reward of the evil is the evil thereof, but whosoever forgives and makes amends, his reward is upon Allah.” - The Koran

“There is one only defect in forgiving persons...that defect is that people take a forgiving person to be weak. That defect, however, should not be taken into consideration, for forgiveness is a great power. Forgiveness subdues (all) in this world; what is there that forgiveness cannot achieve? What can a wicked person do unto him who carries the sabre of forgiveness in his hand?” - The Mahabharata

"Forgive them father, for they know not what they do" – Jesus Christ
